We had a wonderful exchange of ideas, information and energy at our annual conference for institutional plan sponsors and leaders at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California on April 18-20. The theme of TIAA-CREF Forum 2012 was “Engage with Purpose – Driving Successful Outcomes.”
The program featured relevant content created based on client feedback and input. Through interactive sessions, we provided plan sponsors with knowledge and tools to help increase the effectiveness of their retirement plans and meet the evolving needs of their employees.
The Forum focused on three key areas: understanding institutional trends, gaining deep insights about employees’ goals and behaviors and leading in changing times.
Guest speakers included TIAA-CREF Hesburgh Award winner Dr. Charles B. Reed, chancellor of the California State University system; Zanny Minton Beddoes, economic editor at The Economist; Keith Ferrazzi, relationship development expert and author; and journalists John King of CNN and Juan Williams of Fox News. Andy Brantley, president and CEO of CUPA-HR and John Walda, president and CEO of NACUBO led a special session for CFOs and chief human resource officers. There also were a host of institutional leaders and industry experts who served as panelists.
This year, every attendee used an iPad with a specially-designed app to track Forum activities, stay in touch with peers, and provide instant feedback so we can continue to make these events relevant and timely.
This site will serve as a link to Forum information for attendees, and will provide a taste of the experience to those who were unable to join us.
