Client Services: A Consultative Team Approach

At TIAA-CREF, our main goal is to help you design and administer a retirement plan that meets your business objectives and helps provide secure retirements for your employees. A dedicated Managing Consultant will work with you to continually analyze your plan and determine what's best for your plan. Your Managing Consultant collaborates with you, your benefits consultants and other members of the TIAA-CREF support team to create the appropriate strategy and provide you with the highest level of personalized attention and services. You receive consultative guidance from experienced retirement professionals.

The consultative approach offered by TIAA-CREF is different. Our goals are the same as yours: to implement best practices solutions that make your job easier and prepare your employees for retirement security. The way we do this is by knowing your plans, your objectives and your employees' objectives — inside and out. Plan design and other specialized consulting services
TIAA-CREF provides consultative services during all phases of the plan design process, including those that are affected by legislative and regulatory changes, such as the final 403(b) regulations. The services cover such considerations as plan eligibility, contribution rates (including Safe Harbor plan designs), in-service provisions (such as loans and hardship distributions) and retirement income options.

We can help you ensure your retirement program is closely aligned with your objectives and policies. Our Managing Consultants are trained specifically on plan design, holding a number of professional designations included Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). We are trained to see what others don't see in your plan and can help avoid issues and succeed at meeting your objectives — both in the short term and for the future of your plan. We'll provide guidance on benefits policy strategies, investment policy, selection and review and analysis of peer group data, benefits statistics and trends in participation to target areas of your plan that need improvement.

TIAA-CREF offers tools, publications and programs to help you stay current on key issues, educate your staff and take advantage of industry best practices to drive improved plan efficiency and outcomes.
