Roger W. Ferguson, Jr. Named to the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness


TIAA-CREF chief executive Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., has been named by President Barack Obama to the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. 

The Council was created to provide non-partisan advice to the President on continuing to strengthen the Nation's economy and ensure the competitiveness of the United States and on ways to create jobs, opportunity, and prosperity for the American people, according to the Executive Order that established it.

The Council is chaired by Jeffrey Immelt, chief executive of General Electric Co.
