Effective July 1, 2011, Mount Holyoke College will turn the investment administration and recordkeeping of your retirement plan over to another financial firm.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUThe TIAA-CREF choices you currently have selected are closed to new contributions. However, you can keep your existing balances with TIAA-CREF for as long as you like.
You do not need to take any action regarding your existing TIAA-CREF accumulations, which will remain in the accounts and funds you’ve chosen and continue to be managed by the same investment professionals who have managed them in the past. Also, there is no requirement for you to transfer your TIAA-CREF accumulations to any other provider.
TIAA-CREF is and remains totally committed to offering you objective, knowledgeable investment advice and outstanding customer service.
WORKING WITH TIAA-CREFTIAA-CREF consultants are still available to offer guidance on your retirement investment choices and strategy — at no additional cost to you. You can speak with a consultant or schedule a one-on-one counseling session on campus or at the TIAA-CREF office nearest you by calling 800 842-2252 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ET).
One or more plans available to you require a Salary Reduction Agreement (SRA) in order to process your enrollment application. An SRA allows automated, pre-tax contributions from your paycheck directly to your specified plans. You can obtain a copy of these forms at your benefits office.
