REVIEW YOUR CHOICES

After considering the different asset classes and how they’ll make up your overall investment holdings according to your investing style, you’re prepared to review your investment choices.

The investment choices available to you in each asset class are part of the retirement plan offered by your employer. You'll find the available investments listed with the pension plan in the Plans and Investments Choices section of this site.

As you consider each investment, you should also look at:

  • Fact sheets and offering documents

These documents provide important information to you about the investment manager’s strategy for the investment, the investment’s longevity and performance, independent rating, and other useful information.

  • The prospectus

This formal legal document is filed with the government by the offering agent and provides information needed by an investor to make an informed investment decision. Importantly, the prospectus details the risks involved in the investment.

  • The Plan Performance Card (PPC)

The Plan Performance Card provides a summary list of the investments in the plan by asset class and each investment’s recent performance.
